About me: I've been using couchsurfing for several years as a host and traveler. Once i was hosted by a guy that turned out to be an ex-waldorf student. It was such an amazing experience, we got along well very easily thanks to our common "roots". I would be happy to have this experience some more time in my home or abroad.

Dorottya Gál

City: Solymár, Hungary

School: Pesthidegkúti Waldorf Iskola, Budapest

Email address: dorottya.gal@hotmail.com

About me: I am an English teacher. I also have a qualification in herb gardening, and upholstering. I have a daughter who is in the 8th grade at Pesthidegkúti Waldorf Iskola, Budapest. Her yearly project was Hungarian traditional embroidery. At the same time I started refurbishing old furniture and I used Hungarian emroidered patterns for the new fabric I upholstered on the pieces of furniture. Thinking about tradition, we thought how important it is to keep and discover other nations' embroidered traditions, as well. So the main aim of our travelling from now on to find people in different countries who still live in their traditions or they try to keep them alive and we would like to learn from them. Also we love to get to know likewise people, share knowledge with them. We would also love to host them in our home in Solymár. Since our financial conditions are not enough to travel in the classical way, we welcome this opportunity and hope that through this we could accomplish our dream.
